4 New Styles @ Mystikal

Now that hair fair is over, the styles previously available only there are now available in my main store in Mystikal. There are 3 new styles for the ladies (Laurie, Sassy, and Jerry) as well as a new style for the guys (Flock of Seagulls).

Jerry features some custom curl texturing, and Flock of Seagulls is just fun, named for, well, yeah. those guys.

Sassy and Laurie feature new textures in my new "Naturals" collection.

Freebies at Hair Fair 2008

First, I'd like to extend a HUGE thank you to the entire Hair Fair 2008 organizers.  This is my third year at Hair Fair as a designer.  Each year it's grown exponentially in size and numbers, and as it has gotten larger, it has gotten more complex.  At the same time, lots of people have really stepped up to make this a fun and successful event, and though larger, seems to be better organized each time.  In particular, I hugely appreciated the efforts of Sasy Scarborough, Paisley Poindexter, Autumn Fairlane, Washu Zebrastripe, Serendipity Nerd, and Mikayla Kohl for their regular, detailed, and thoughtful communication, updates, and occasional ankle-biting. There is no amount of thanks that can do justice to the amount of hard work that these folks did to bring this event together.

There are some good freebies to be had at the Hair Fair this year.  For my part, I went with the Aztec theme, and am offering a 1-prim wig with copy/mod perms in my entire Natural Collection set of colors, plus some way cool headdresses to go with any wig.
I've always tried to have fun with my store
and the hair and explore the campier side of fashion.

So in that vein, one of the headdresses is just a little one-prim replica of Montezuma's feather headdress.

The other is one I made up that is gold and commemorates this year's hair fair.

Best of all, I hope that people enjoy  my colossal statue wearing my 1-prim wig and headdress.
Cheers!

Hair Fair!

I have been a very lazy blogger this summer but thanks to Hair Fair, I've been forced to get back to work.  I'm introducing four new styles at Hair Fair.  The demos are up on Onrez now, and they will be available exclusively at Hair Fair 2008 in the Rezzable - Pink sim until Hair Fair is over.

Two are for the ladies, and in a new color palette called the Naturals Collection. Laurie donates 50% of proceeds to Locks of Love. Sassy is a shorter style in a very natural looking bob.

One is in my old set of colors but has a new, curly/wavy texture, also for the ladies.  And the last is my favorite of the bunch, for the guys.  It's in my old set of colors and is wild and fun, especially for those '80s parties that people enjoy
so much.

New Men's Hair @ Mystikal

Introducing "Cloud," a wilder, fantasy hair style that was born to resemble that of Cloud from the Final Fantasy series.  It's super flexi and lots of fun.  Enjoy!

3 New Men's Styles @ Mystikal

After a much-too-long hiatus from putting up new products, I've got 3 new hair releases today for the men.

Johnny is a style I made for a friend to resemble a style that Johnny Depp wore for a while. It's made with sculpted and flex pieces to give it a mussed, wavy look.

McConnell is a longer version of Johnny, over the ears and covering most of the neck.

Andre is a shoulder-length 'do. I'm often asked for longer hair for men and with this one I tried to give it a realistic appearance. Like all my hair, it's copy/modify and no transfers. Available at my store in Mystikal. (Search places/Mystikal or view my picks).

Shea Studio Mystikal Poster

Shea has been working with me to play with some new poster ads for the store. Here's an example of what we've been working on. This one features a men's style, Skye, shown here in copper.

MG Fashion, Shea Studios and Infinity

I've been pretty neglectful of the blog lately, mainly just RL stuff happening all around me. I wanted to formally announce several talented artists joining my store in Mystikal.

The first is MG Fashion Factory, female clothing by the very talented Maria Gherardi. Her stuff is the bomb when it comes to originality and quality. She's been in Mystikal for a while but I was lame about making the formal announcement. One of her more
recent pieces is featured below - the Canadiana Jacket which has the coolest prim buttons, ever.

The second is Shea Studios. Shea Yue is the photographer and while she sells a few pieces in her store, she also does some pretty awesome custom work. Check her out.

And the last is Infinity Fashion, featuring formal wear by my good friend Odessy Infinity. What I love about her formals is that they are unlike lots of what else can be found around the grid and she has a great time trying out new things.

New Sculpted Braid @ Mystikal - Lara

I've been sitting on this style for a while now, finally got around to finishing it and getting it for sale in my main store on Mystikal. It's a single braid made mostly of sculpted prims with a few flexible pieces. Decided to call it "Lara" at my friend Keniff''s suggestion (Thanks, Ken!). It's available in 23 colors.

I should also mention that the jacket is a new offering from Maria Gherardi of MG Fashions, also in Mystikal. The jacket features several options for prim hoods, collar, and buttons and is so chic! Maria has opened a new main store across from my salon, so welcome, Maria!

New Hair @ Mystikal - Skye

Skye was actually the prototype for Page, which I released a couple of weeks ago. The name is for my friend, who ultimately didn't find Skye to be long enough for his taste. But I liked the way that it turned out as a shorter alternative to someone seeking a mussed, flippy, textured style. Made primarily of sculpted prims with some flex as well to give it a realistic feel, I am really happy with the way this one came out. Enjoy!

Come on, Baby! Featuring Mystkal Hair

This video was made purely for silliness to see how the hair could move while trying out various animations. Many thanks to the man in the tutu. I thought the result was too amusing not to post, so enjoy it!
